Dry Needling

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a form of trigger point therapy that has origins in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Dry Needling is used to deactivate and alleviate trigger points, strengthen tendons and ligaments, stimulate nerve and muscle points, and provide growth and increased blood flow.

A thin sterile needle is inserted into the tight and irritable point, releasing the muscle at a deeper level compared to massage. Once inserted, an inflammatory response is stimulated by the body, thus promoting and speeding up its healing response.

Dry Needling can help alleviate:

  • Tight and irritable muscles

  • Acute back spasms

  • Chronic Pain

  • Bursitis

  • Tennis/Golfers Elbow

  • Tendinitis/tendinosis
